On our road-trip from Texas to California this summer, we broke down twice in the desert. After we finally got to our destination, I doodled the landscape that felt so unforgiving. Somehow the gritty sun & sharp dry features came alive and I could see how the desert is just being the desert and it has an ebb & flow a lot like the ocean--dangerous and beautiful. Coming out of the desert breakdowns both times, we said, "let's just try again and keep going". Glad we made it home and glad we made this sweatshirt :)
